Single Origin Tanzania Ngorongoro Agarwal Family
Tanzania Ngorongoro Agarwal Family
After World War II, farmland consolidation was led by the British, and the estate was named Kongoni Estate by retired Indian Army Colonel Terence Connor. Coffee cultivation has been passed down from generation to generation since then, and it was inherited by the current owners, the Agarwal family, in the late 1960s.
Highly regarded overseas, this traditional Tanzanian mild coffee is produced from the soil and high altitude near the Ngorongoro Crater, and using the traditional Kent variety.
[From the roaster]
We roasted this coffee with the intention of retaining the fruity flavor of Tanzania while also bringing out some of the richness that comes with a medium roast.

[Farm Information]
At the Kongoni farm, we pay close attention to each and every step of the selection process that affects the flavor and aroma in order to improve quality. We process the coffee as quickly as possible after harvesting, and cover the parchment during drying to prevent it from getting too hot.
